Divot bags available

The Committee appreciate that the ground staff and the members are all on the same side as they all want the golf courses to be in the best possible condition. However they also recognise that maintaining such a large area of turf during the growing season is a full time job and sometimes prioritising these large areas means that a few of the smaller jobs can get missed.
Therefore following on from the committee proposal to ask members to take a more active role in helping to maintain their golf course by adopting a hole, based upon their surname, we are now in a position to implement this.
The proposal was for members to take an active interest in their adopted hole by, for example, making sure that the bunkers were raked, picking up litter, pitch marks repaired, divots replaced or using their divot bag on old divots etc . It is hoped that if each member was able to do any one of those things, on only their adopted hole each time they played then this could collectively could make a significant difference on both courses.
Oakmere has purchased 100 divot bags and installed a stand on the way to both 1st tees. Hopefully if a member could pick one up and attach it to their trolley and use it on their adopted hole and then return the empty bag to the bin at the foot of the stand at the end of their round.
Please hit the link below to see which hole your surname is linked to on the respective course.
